The original Quattro Cavalli.
These original four horses were taken from Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade. They were taken by Napoleon to Paris and were then returned to Venice by the Austrians.
Replicas of the Quattro Cavalli are found on the balcony of the Basilica San Marco as they overlook the Piazza San Marco.

Besides the body of the father of John the Baptist, the church of San Zaccaria houses numerous exquisite masterpieces. A plethora of art work can be found here, including works by Bellini, Tintoretto and many more.
Though this church is one of the few that allows photography, it is only open about two hours each afternoon.
