Road Trip to PhotoShop World 2019
The photos below were captured to and from Las Vegas, Nevada, for the annual PhotoShop World convention and training sessions. Our road trip was taken in August, 2019. There were three in the car — Dale, Taylor, and Steve.
The photos shown below, at this point, were all taken by Steve. Photos from Dale and Taylor will be added after they complete their processing.

Along Route 66 in Arizona
Twin Arrows Trading Post This iconic Route 66 tourist attraction was built in the ‘40s, but was finally abandoned in 1995. The name was inspired by the strange and nearby ‘Two Guns’ which is shown below. The trading post included a gas station, gift shop and a diner. Today, it makes up a canvas for graffiti, some of it quite good.
Two Guns This place is really weird, and its history is even weirder! It includes murder (one), more murder (forty-six), mountain lions (several), gila monsters (at least one), love, hate and intrigue aplenty. Rather than reproducing a complete writeup here, see this link for details: https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/two-guns
In the last photo, a desert character sits in the service bay with his faithful dog.
Meteor Crater The first photo in the series shows a flat landscape with a rise forming a hill. That rise was created when a 150’ meteor hit the Earth and forced that flat plane up as ground zero was displaced upward and outward. This wasn’t a recent occurrence - it happened about 60,000 years ago. An abandoned mine sits at the center of the crater.
