AMERICANA
These photos are photos that I considered for entry in the 2025 “Americana” photo contest. This photo contest was created by the same people who created the “International Color Awards Photo Contest”, for which I was “Photographer of the Year” last year. This “Americana” contest is obviously about things typically American…family, friends, places, events, recreation, sports, roadside attractions, Route 66, things long gone, etc
I just present them here for your enjoyment, and you may see yourself somewhere in this collection!
Guaranteed to be seen: Debbie, Ellen, Braeden, Kiera, Ashlyn, Tutu, Lu, Nana, Dale, Mae’s hand, Doug, Jim (kind of), Steve the Old Geezer at the Geyser, and some people we don’t know. For the photos of Chaco Canyon, pretend Mike is in the photo, as he was there on location with me.
If you are listed, but don’t recognize yourself, it may be because you were much younger when the photo was taken. The photos are presented just in alphabetical order based on the file name I used for the photo.
Steve
If you don’t know the drill, just click on the first image to get to full-screen mode. Then, use your arrow keys or mouse-click the > at the right of the screen to advance.
All are best viewed on your computer, rather than your cellphone.
For instance, for “I Get the Point!”, you will not see the key element of that photo!
Same with “But the sign said ‘Open’”
The same goes for “Dangerous Bridge”.
The most significant photo in this grouping, one which I have hopes for recognition, is “NOW SHOWING”, which will make no sense at all when viewed on your cellphone!
